You Don't Have to Wait for Rock Bottom

Intervention, case management, and companionship for parents and loved ones of someone struggling with addiction or a mental health crisis.

Organization of Recovery & Crisis Advisors (ORCA) helps parents and family members whose loved one is struggling with addiction or a mental health crisis and will not accept help. We are not a treatment center. We are the team you call before treatment, to plan and lead an intervention, and after it, to coordinate care and keep the plan on track.

The first call is free and confidential, and you do not need to know what your loved one needs before you make it.

Who calls us
Parents of adult children, spouses, siblings, and grandparents. Most have already tried talking, pleading, and setting limits.
What we do
Plan and lead the intervention, arrange treatment in advance, escort your loved one to care, and coordinate everything after.
What we do not do
Run a rehab, ambush your loved one, or leave once they are in treatment.
First step
Call 917-979-8726 at any hour, or send the contact form and we call you back.

You've Tried Everything. And Nothing Seems to Work.

You've had the hard conversations. You've begged. You've given second chances. You've tried boundaries. Some days you feel angry. Some days you feel heartbroken. Most days, you just feel exhausted.

When someone you love is spiraling in addiction or mental health issues, you live in a constant state of fear, waiting for the next phone call, the next lie, the next crisis. It feels like you're the only one carrying the weight.

At ORCA, we understand the chaos addiction creates, and we help families like yours find stability, structure, and a clear path forward.

Questions Parents Ask

Start with one confidential call to ORCA at 917-979-8726. You do not need to know what your loved one needs, whether it is an intervention, treatment, or something else. We listen to what is happening, tell you honestly whether we are the right help, and if we are, build the plan with you from there. The call is free.
No. ORCA is the team a family calls before treatment, to plan and lead an intervention, and after it, to coordinate care and stay involved through recovery. We work with treatment programs across the country and help you choose one, but we do not run one.
No. Denial is the normal starting point, not a dead end. Among the millions of Americans with an untreated substance use disorder in the most recent national survey, over 95% did not believe they had a problem. Motivation is built, not waited for. An intervention is designed for exactly the person who says they are fine.
Outside of a court order or an emergency psychiatric hold, no adult can be forced into treatment. But they do not have to want it first. The National Institute on Drug Abuse states that treatment does not need to be voluntary to be effective. Family pressure, clear boundaries, and a prearranged path into care get people through the door, and the care itself often produces the motivation.
Tell us what happened. Most failed interventions were surprise confrontations, which have the weakest evidence, or had no plan for a refusal. ORCA's approach is invitational and family-centered, treatment is arranged before the meeting, and boundaries are agreed in advance so a no on the day is not the end.
No. Every conversation with ORCA is confidential. We work discreetly with families who have public profiles, family businesses, and professional licenses to protect, and we never share information without your permission.

You're Not Failing. You're Fighting for Them.

No one prepares you for this. There's no guidebook for parenting through addiction or loving someone who's lost control.

But you're not weak for asking for help. You're wise for knowing when it's time to bring in reinforcements.

Let us help carry the weight.
